Sir Topham Hatt is the superentendent of the Sodor Railway.

Bertram Topham Hatt He first came to Sodor as a railway engineer he rose quickly in the job moving up to the superentendent, people called him "The Fat Director", then he got knited and was from then on known as Sir Topham Hatt.
